Our Prelude Kitchen & Bar project was a refresh of an existing restaurant that included unifying the spaces with paint, mirrors and custom furniture. This two-story space includes two bars, several dining areas, private event space, and an outdoor patio with a view of the state Capitol. This Buckhorn BBQ + Grill location started out as a Mel’s Diner and saw a complete transformation into this industrial modern space. We kept the interior and walls light and bright and opened up the ceilings to expose all the existing wood gluelams. Layers of wood, brick and metal were balanced with black accents, pops of the “Buckhorn” orange color and a bold graphic branded mural. This local eatery has been going strong within the community and we were able to help create the vision for their brand in their first ever ground up location.
